The Why Behind This Blog
I like to think I have always loved learning, but I think the older I get and the more I learn, the more I realize how much I do not know...but want to.
So what does that have to do with starting a blog (from me all of people)? I think the idea sprouted from something my older sister, Kim, shared with me about six months ago. It was not just what she shared with me, although I will share that in this blog, but that she shared it with me that has eventually brought me to this blog. Her casual podcast recommendation led me to a source of knowledge, (and possibly a temporary obsession 🙂), I might not have found otherwise. I can say the same thing about many, if not most, of the things I have learned. Someone shared something with me that sparked an interest and took off from there. I hope this blog is a way for me to share some of these great things with my friends and family. (Actually it will be a way I can share them without having to "blow up" their text messages with all my book or podcast recommendations, etc.)
I do want to give some explanation for my blog title: That All May Learn. When I first started brainstorming this idea I wanted to call my project "A few of my favorite things." Apparently, someone else has a few favorite things, and that space was taken. Then I tried "Still learning," using a quote from Michelangelo. Also taken, as were: For the love of learning, Joy of learning, and several others. I finally did several searches of the word "learn" in the scriptures and noticed the phrase I finally chose. It has grown on me and I hope it does become a source for all to learn.
